I have a 77 granfury with a 440 bone stock
what kinda specs should I look for in a cam to get some better bottom end torque?

Try for a cam with high lift and short duration for a low end torque producer.
Too much duration makes rough and inefficient.
BTW, noticed your signature... Corb Lund is cool!
- "Shine Up My Boots"
- "Truck Got Stuck"
- "Hair In My Eyes Like a Highland Steer"
Good ones!

and you can never forget my new theme song- "roughest neck around"
and while I am askin about the fury........ can I use a posi from a 2.73 rear end with a lower ratio, and what ratio would give me good pull and decent fuel mileage. it has 2.06 gears now.

I'll bet it will actually do batter on gas with 3.23s....And be a lot more fun

ya I was thinkin about 3.23.....not like the 4.55's in the RR (too much smoke:eek: ) would the posi from the 2.76 ( I know its a 2.7somethin)work with the lower gears?
