As time has rolled by, there are a few cars from the Smog Era that would make great Muscle Car platforms. I'm talking about the more or less standard definition of Muscle Car: mid-size, 5-passenger, 2dr sedan/coupe/hardtop with a 400ci+ engine. Here are some I think would make perfect project cars if you drop in an apropriate engine:) :

1975-80 Ford Granada/Mercury Monarch
1976-80 Dodge Aspen/Plymouth Volare
1979-87 Ford LTD/Crown Vic 2dr Coupe
1979-87 Mercury Marquis/Grand Marquis 2dr Coupe

I like to see cars like 77-9 Cougars & T-birds, 75-9 Cordobas, Magnums & Chargers. Big cars with style:cool:

The Cordobas and Magnums are cool cars with LOTS of potential. The GM Colonnade body cars are just as over looked and these but I'm starting to see articles in all the mainstream car mags covering the Laguna S3, Cam Ams, and other rare Colonnades.

Other over looked cars are the Maverick/Comets. So small and light and will hold a 351C or 351W with few mods. With the cost of todays stroker kits, you can build a 408C or a 427W with a stock block which would create a monster Mav/Comet.
