This thing showed up at the yard yesterday..It's a 39K one owner car that's perfect on the inside and runs like a top. 2 door sedan DL 232 six with AC( that works) Been sitting 7 years but it fired right up and idles perfect..Has a bad scrape where the old man hit something with it..I couldn't resist..Of the hundreds of cars I have owned, there have been very few AMCS..Looks like fun.

Cool, saw a '83 eagle 4dr at a show the other day, Amc was quite the strange and misunderstood car company, really brought out some beauties as well as some  .

Finally drove this thing this week...runs and drives pretty good but it definitely is NOT a screamer..Nor does it corner:D http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/Daffy427/redranger008.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/Daffy427/redranger009.jpg

Not quite a vette, huh:D
At least you can enjoy it, bought the Crown Vic hoping to stick a few bucks in it and drive it a while, but the whole steering linkage is worn out, don't feel like sticking that much into it:(

Sounds like a donor car
That was the plan all along, but I was hoping to play around with it until the Ranchero was ready for the transplant next spring, just have to start a little earlier I suppose:D

That 4.6 can be made to look kinda like a 427SOHC with the right stuff on it...

sounds cool, but first I have to find a way to fit that best into the chero, may have to graft the suspension and steering section of the frame from the crown to get it to clear, I'll post updates as they come along:cool:

The car looks great! This is just the beginning and we are looking forward to getting it where it needs to be.Looks like you are going to need a front end alignment or a front end rebuild by the looks of the front tire leaned in at top.
