That makes you like them? I doubt that anyone was just walking around one day and said to him/herself "I want to get myself a musclecar" for no reason...

the smell of the fuel, old interior smell, the sound of the exahust, the smell of burning rubber, the irreplacable looks.

Exactly. And for that same reason I dislike new Benzs and Porsches and the like.

Nostalgia mostly...the memories of driving in high school, the fading memories that need to be rekindled. Ok, enough of that mushy, touchy-feely stuff...the main reason is TO BURN RUBBER!

I'd like to know what specifics about the bodies people like. I spend alot of time analyzing the body lines of old cars and comparing them to new ones. Things like the coke-bottle body style, round headlights, the C-pillars, fastbacks, long hood/short decks, big tail-fins. Things like that that you don't see as much in new cars. You don't see nice crisp body lines in cars anymore; everything has to be complex compound rolls, with no projections to cut down on drag. I always loved the rectangular projection of the fenders and quarters on the '70-'72 Monte Carlos.

It's the acceleration, the pure joy of being able to spin the tires at will....... and the frustration when the gas gauge moves in unison with the speedometer.

Ya, I know I already posted it at MCC, but, like the drones you are, everyone one of you immediately went "LARGE DISPLACEMENT ENGINE IN AN INTERMEDIATE CHASSIS!!!!!" Then Every_Mn made a flame session out of the thread so I never got an answer. And if you ever call me fruitloop again, I'm gonna hit you in the solar-plexus with a drive-shaft.:D

for me, I saw my uncle's coronet when I was 8 and all I thought was "man that is cool....I NEED one of those" I think its the shear power with no power steering, no power brakes, no A/C, no traction control.......its death on wheels......pure power......I LOVE IT.
