so we finally added a new car to the corral. The hubby is wanting to build up this 74 Maverick for some fun on friday nights doing some bracket racing... picked it up for 150... has alot of potential

I found an interesting shot on a Boss Maverick ... didn't know they existed... cool stuff... gives us great site on what little Ricky can be ...

Yup, Ford shoulda built it, Klaus and you got one heck of a project, find a shaker hood and go to town, maybe a 428CJ:D

Back in 77-78 I used to have a 71 grabber with a 250 in it that I used to take to the dragstrip every weekend as a standby... Almost every week one of our Mopars or someone we knew would break a car and the Maverick would run in Bracket 4 on a free ticket.(high 17s but deadly consistant)... That damn thing won more money with more different drivers than my good cars did..351C would be the way to go in that baby. you don't have to chop it up too much to make it fit..:D

Klaus actually wants to build a stroker windsor to stuff in it.... it will be a fun car.... finally got the title work straightened out on it... so its legally ours... now the fun begins :D :D

oops.... sorry guys forgot to post.... Klaus decided he didn't want it anymore and took it to the crusher after pulling some parts... we got 450 for the car and another 150 off the parts.... so little ricky is gone now... :( oh well

Sorry to hear about it going to the crusher, I remember some pretty mean Mavericks in "the day".
Would'a been kinda nice to see haow it turned out..

a friend of ours has a 71 that he's building for the strip..... He almost died in the last one he had... guess he didn't get enough... lol
