I figure I will stick with what I have... new programs are like new cars... you don't want them when they first come out :D

Unfortunately my laptop died last week and I was forced to buy a new one....They all have have this foul program on them...Now my digital camera is useless as well as my webcam...When I get back to NC I'm gonna talk to my computer guy about deleting this crap and putting XP on this as well as maybe fixing my old computer...Being the internet junkie that I am I couldn't bear the thought of going for more than a week without my computer.

That is why I haven't been interested in up dating to Vista. I'd probably have to replace all the stuff that goes with the computer. Printer, scanner, camera, etc....

Funny this came up, my laptop (win98) finally broke this week-end, it's been around the world a few times and got lot of mileage out of it, but the hinges broke, battery died a couple years ago so chit gonna get a new one. I have XP pro on all my home pc's but Vista?
Vista pewters, as I understand are not easy if not impossible to load XP and yep Vista inhales drastically. And all the software I have to replace, oh well not much you can do outside of buying a used one or in my case duck tape...

After returning two Vista machines I had my old one fixed and bought another used laptop off Ebay for a back up...No vista for me...Now it seems many others are having the same issues I did...I can't see downgrading to an inferior system..

Just so you know last week at least you could still order a dell with xp or vista

Really, haven't looked yet but laptop or desk top? My Dad found a laptop a few months ago with XP off Tiger Direct, maybe I should start looking now. Thanks Larry.

Yeah, cj I got my laptop for school which is a dell latitude d620 directly from dell, and it has the xp os on it. I don't know too much about vista, I don't like the set up of it, and I was thinking of converting this laptop to it eventually, but I might have to think that over.

They are still building with XP so you should be able to buy with XP.

Vista failed to everyone's expectation. Its not worth of wasting money on it. Stick to XP its still the best.
