I got rearended yesterday, by a Toyota Corolla. The whole story is long, so here's the short. She is at fault. My car sustained very little damage, although I am concerned since I popped the trunk and saw the indside panel was warped a bit. Her car is really messed up and will cost her a good amount to fix. I am simply glad that neither of us sustained serious injuries, although if she had sprung for ABS it wouldn't have happened, she basically locked em up and skidded into me.
The damages:

Glad I have a big steel bumper, time to call dearborn for a new valence.

She rear ended me, major impact was taken by the bumper guard and frame. No frame damage, the lower valence needs replacement, and the trunk needs to be straightened inside. The only thing you would notice from the pic is that the license plate sits at an angle, and you can see the fuel cap which should be covered. Total is gonna be under 1k.

UPDATE: Total is gonna be over 2k, and in addition to the trunk floor warping, the support on the PS that goes from the back to the top inside the trunk is bent. Whatever, she's payin.

Glad no one was hurt, Sorry that your car got damaged. Whas any of the sheetmetal by thr rear window/rear roofline hurt? I'v seen some get hit like this and have some dmage in that are from flexing. So good luck getting her back on the road

neither of the quarters or the trunk were bent. Only the valence, bumper, trunk floor, and PS trunk/qtr support were damaged. The AAA guy was really nice and told me to find a cherry bumper and they'll buy it. I've found a couple in iffy condition, but I'm hoping blueoval6079 will have something good.
We'll see if they want to replace the valence or straighten it, and during the paint work they'll be forced to fix a pre-existing key scratch, so I'm happy except the fact that work hasn't started yet.

Only new car I've owned(bought to resell but accident kinda screwed that idea) was an '06 Corolla. I lent it to my mother to go outta town and after pulling out of driveway a dog runs out and she hits it at 45mph. The front bumper cover unclipped itself(everything now days is held together by plastic clips/rivets) on the driver's side and middle and got dragged underneath car along with the styrofoam inner cushion. I still have trouble believing it cost that much for parts. Had to pretty much heat up bumper cover and fix everything myself, had to buy new plastic rivets and clips in a kit that cost $29. Got rid of that hunk of junk.
