I have to admit I have been a GM man for years! Only owned 1 Ford product ever. But when it comes to rears I really like the ford 9"! I like the idea of being able to swap a rear in less than 1-1/2 hours. My 57 Chevy came with an original 10 bolt. I use to swap rears for a weekend or a car show. But the time I hated was replacing it because it blew up. So after blowing up 4 rears I finally got a 9". If only the 12 bolts were pumpkin type rears!! That was the last time I ever touched the rear. 31 splines and a Detroit Locker, I just love it. Believe it or not NASCAR uses the 9" in all the Bush and Cup cars! That's probably why the prices for the gear sets are so cheap!! So my hats off to the Ford guys for making a great rear!!
