It's what I like to call one of the biggest Mopar showdowns. Two extremely fast, yet stripped down sister cars. Dodge VS Plymouth. I don't know about you, but I like the Bee a bit more.

Dodge has always been Chrysler's Racing Division.

I prefer the look of the RR. I also like the cartoonish decals.

:p They both look equally good in the rearview of a '55 Chevy, I did see more RR's as such in the "old days":D

I'll vote for the one with the street HEMI!!
Now they were rare!! Had fun racing against them In 1969 when I had my Nova!! Great cars for the money $3000 and you got the RoadRunner horn for free!!

I know the feeling, I had to pay $29.95+tx for my oogah horn in '71, then i had to install it myself.

Some interesting trivia, Plymouth had to pay royalties to WB for using the RR logo, while Dodge came up with their own (duty free) logo.

The '69 Bee is also one of my fav Mopars. Comes before the RR. Heck, I think the '69 Bee is my #1 Mopar, even before the Winged Warriors. Yep it is. GO BEES!

I like both, but can only vote for one. I like the Road Runners alittle more so that's where my vote went!
Too bad the Daytona Charger wasn't a choice!:D

Well, that wouldn't be fair. But no ones stopping anyone from making another poll.

Oddly enough, a typical Runner weighed less than a Bee, and, all other things the same, should be faster.

I had a 1970 Black Super Bee 440 4 speed and it was fast, The Road Runners were also fast, especially the 440 six pack. Most of the Hemi's were usually sitting waiting to be repaired for a thrown rod or something.

I voted RR because of styling. I can't believe any SB would have been faster, when matching drive train to drive train.
The 69' RR is the best in looks followed by the 70'.
I bought a three year old 69' RT convertible. I loved it. I drove it for four years and the rust was showing in the quarters when I sold it.

Gonna have to roll with the Runner on this one. Always love them cars. Could've had one if the guy who owned it would've answer his door. 2 weeks later it was sold to a local mechanic.....it is now gone :(

The Road Runners were basic entry level muscle car (Strippers)were as the Dodge Super Bee had more std items. The RR was lighter then the bee with the same drivetrain and tuning the RR was a hair quicker. Just a side note , from the starting line the 440 would pull ahead till midtrack then the Hemi would start to breathe and pass the 440-6 pak and beat it on the top end.
When the 440 was added to the RR the name was changed to GTX with heavy duty equipment.

That information is not Exactly Correct..
The Trim Code is the ONLY differences between the Satelite(s) Road Runner and the GTX.
Same as the Super Bee is just a Medium Trim Coronet with the R/T's being SPECIAL and the 500's being PREMIUM.
I have had SEVERAL examples of all of these..Different Engine Packages and it is like ANY other vehicle...You could have 2 cars IDENTICALLY made and 1 would beat the other..
