In your opinion....what was the absolute worse car you have ever owned....
Mine was a VW Squareback.... left me stranded more times than I care to mention...Pregnant women should not push cars... :(

1990 taurus station wagon- V6- no power, terrable mileage, liked to stall, the power steering pump liked to blow up, and best of all form time to time the left rear beake liked to stick.
I wasn't too sad when she was lakebound.

Well we needed a car at the time and we bought it for a hundred bucks....drove it a year...kind of....then sold it for alot more.... Sometimes you make sacrifices...it was when it broke down up in Denver on the highway between the on and off ramps....Klaus decided it is far to dangerous to own...that we sold it. Then bought a 71 Datsun 510 two door...now that was a fun car.... I would love to have another.

Has to be my Corvair, always breaking something on it, I learned to drop the engine along side the road and reconnect something in the clutch, I forget? But that wasn't bad enough, the worst part is when I put a 283 in it and got sooo many tickets that I was working just to pay fines...But it sure was fun dusting 57 chevys back then, a true sleeper...

1983 Pontiac Bonneville station wagon. Absolute POS. I swear in the 4 years I drove it, the thing left me stranded 4 or 5 times. I replaced the camshaft in it as well, a common failure on the '80s 305 Chevy's.

understand.... weren't those 305's and 307's just a waste of enginuity? Now if you really want to spend the money they can be made into a fast SB....but why.... the 327's have more available. I agree with ya Wingnut:rolleyes:

Very easily my Volkswagen. It never quit running on me or left me stranded, but it was the most annoying little car in the world. The E-brake was broken, so I had to park it in gear, and it love losing compression in the middle of the night and rolling down the driveway. The second gear synchronizing gear was bad, so it ground the gears like an M22 going into second gear. It didn't like 5th gear or reverse, and would regularly decide not to let me shift into either gear, particulary on the free running at about 7000 in 4th gear, or sitting in some hillbilly's driveway trying to turn around on a country road. The ignition wouldn't work unless you put the key in, pushed it in, moved it up and to the left, jiggled it, and then said "Open Sesame". I have to say, though, throughout my ownership of that car, it never actually let me down. It kept me on my toes sometimes, but it always got me from point A to point C, sometimes you'd almost wreck into point B on the way, but you always got to point C. Now I just said it never let ME down. Last weekend I loaned the car to a friend to drive until Monday. He didn't have it for more than fifteen minutes when I get a call from him telling me that the clutch pedal fell to the floor. Oh well, I guess the car just liked me...

Speaking of 305 Chevy's, I have always been interested in buying an '80s SS Monte and trying to build a better performing 305 with it. I imagine there are some performance parts out there for them.

66 VW bug. 6 volt electrical system that never ever worked right, and brakes that were unpredictable.
Not to mention the heater was non-existent.

I'll sell you my 87 Monte SS! All original, no engine noise, it is a 305 with the 200r4 trans, 3:73 rear gear. Black with gold stripes and interior. T-Tops, factory AM/FM cassette stereo. Body is rusty and there is a large hole in the drivers side floor. Ran 10.15 seconds in the 1/8 mile just last summer, at 70mph. And I was being alittle easy on it. I'll let it go for $1500.00!
Back on topic.....the worst car I've ever owned was a 77 Mustang II with a 302 engine. Left me stranded one too many times, the last time it broke down on me was on the interstate and so I left it stranded and just left it on the side of the highway and never went back! I guess the cops had it picked up and then sold it at the auction! Good riddens! To this day I've never owned another Ford car.....although I do currently own and drive an 89 XLT Lariat P/U. But it is just a work truck and it is a piece of junk also! But I got it cheap! :)
