We got a bomb threat. School was called off on Tuesday. And we WERE supposed to start exams Wednesday, but we just started them today (Thursday) and it WAS supposed to last until Friday, now it's gonna last until Monday. We were supposed to have Monday off, but now we have to go to school. What really sucks is that My birthday is on Sunday, and it WAS going to be great, I have my Birthday, stay up late, sleep in the next day, now I have 3 exams looking at me on Monday. I sure want to fins this kid(s) and sure give them a good delting with. They ruined this week, and next week for all us high schoolers.

I understand your pain baby...but look at this....it was only a threat and it did ruin a perfectly good schedule.... BE THANKFUL it wasn't a COLUMBINE. Be thankful you didn't have two kids coming in toting guns and ruining lives.... one day...or a schedule... not as bad as ruining a life. I'm glad to know the schools are being more cautious and they are checking out the threats... Columbine ignored one too many times.... I do one car show a year in a park next to that school.... remember the school up in the mountains last year? They weren't so lucky either...I'm sorry it messed up your plans for the weekend....but its better than spoiling plans for your life.

Well said!
I don't understand some kids these days. Back when I was in High School, if you had a beef with someone you waited for them in the parking lot after school and had it out in a fist fight! Then the next day everyone got along and the 2 fighters end up freinds. The good old days. Now days kids are too afraid to get in a fight so they bring guns and knives to school, do drive by shootings or wait until late at night and vandalize the person that they are mad at's property! Crazy world we live in these days!

and it breaks my heart to know my grandson has to look forward to all this fun...I'm really trying very hard to talk the daughter and son-n-law into a charter academy. Smaller classes, more attention to detail.... :D

I remember going to school in the 60's, during desegregation, even with all that, I was never afraid to go to school, we just duked it out, went home and came back the next day with black-eye, shook hands and laughed about it. We wound up with a mutual respect for each other and went on to try to do our part to make the world better.

There you go, pretty much the same in the 70s/80s. You settled, then moved on.

It's a lot more like that here, we still duke it out, except we do it at parties, and outside the bar on weekends. noone really gets hurt, 'cept the occasional broken nose and fat lip. no guns, no knives, just fists. the way it should be.
