My wife had a '78 Cougar when I met her,traded for an '80 the year we got married. '78 was a nice car;) , but the '80 was the year they chopped the size down:confused: and it wasn't anywhere near the car the '78 was:rolleyes: .

Those late '60s early '70s models were the best sporty models, late '70s got kinda classy, the '80s were disappointing to me.

I like the 69 best(of all the years).....The painted bumpers and the color hurt it some though IMO

Just replying to post. I have 1 1968 Cougar now. Have had a 68,69,70,72,73 and now this 68 model. Have had 302's to 428's Loved them all. I am what you would call a true ford diehard. New in these forums so Nice to meet everyone.
