We LOVE pictures! Be sure to go to our Gallery and upload your pictures, we want to see them!

The only drawback is when a member on dial-up has to wait for a page to load that is filled with pictures.

I use Easy Thumbnails to fix that. It's a free program that easily resizes pictures for smaller file sizes, while keeping EXCELLENT quality. (and reducing bandwidth on the site)

Follow this link, download a copy of this software and give it a try.

Go to the settings tab and specify 500 x 500 pixels as a maximum size, so it will fit on a single page, and not stretch it to the side.

Download Easy Thumbnails here... (http://www.fookes.com/ezthumbs/index.php)

Now...

If you would like to insert a picture into your post in the forum, first you have to upload your photo(s) into our Photo Gallery. (Click on the "Photo Gallery" link in the blue menu bar near the top of every page).

Once you have uploaded your photo(s) to the gallery, open up your picture and right click on it. Scroll down to "Properties" and click. You will open up a window with all the file information on it, including the URL to your picture. Highlight and copy the entire URL from the Properties window. OR you can use the URL of an existing photo, such as one that you already have on cardomain or a similar site.

Close the window, and return to your post that you would like to insert a photo in.

At the top of the text entry area, there is an icon like this... http://www.musclecarowners.com/forum/images/editor/insertimage.gif

Click on this icon, and paste your URL into the line.

Hit OK, and your photo should be displayed in your post once you Submit it.

Sorry about that, the image did not show up in my previous post. I have edited the post and the icon is working now.

As for the Registration in the Photo Gallery, that thread was created before we integrated the Gallery with these Forums. What that means is that if you are registered on the forums, you are already a registered member in the Gallery as well. No need to register separately. I have edited my original post to reflect those changes as well.

theres a few ways you can do it. you can attach an image, which is easiest, but then the pic can only get so big, and then the quality isn't too great. yuo can upload pic on photobucket or imageshack, then copy/paste the link they give yoou on here, then click the butten in your reply that looks like a small landscape. or you could just email someone who knows how to do it the pics, and they can just do it, like me.

To 66GTO

We have a Garage for members to post their ride photos right from their control panel.

Click on Garage from the menu bar to be taken to the garage section to see member photos.

http://www.musclecarowners.com/forum/vbgarage.php

To add photos to your member name in the garage, just login to the forum, click on User Cp (members Control Panel) from the forum menu bar.

Once you are logged into your control panel look at the list on the left column, and click on VbGarage. to upload your on photo's.

Or if you want to add to your Photo's using The Photo Gallery

Login into Musclecarowners.com

Click on Photo Gallery from the top menu

When you go to the Photo Gallery if you are logged in you will see a menu just click on Upload Photo's, it's that easy

Or if you want to add a photo to your post on the main forum click ad or reply to post

From the menu bar in the post at the top click on the little icon that says ad photo, you can paste a link to a photo stored anywhere on the Internet etc. Just put the link in their and your photo will show up.

Or while you are in the post or reply to post area scroll down to the button of the post box and you will see a link to ad photo’s it will ad your photo as a thumbnail to the thread, however when people click on the thumbnail they will see the big photo.

I hope this explains more.

You guys and gals should know that I already know I am a bad speller and bad typer.
