Hi There, want to put the stock AM radio back in the dash, '67 Chevelle. Anybody been through this before? What are the steps, does stuff under the dash have to be taken apart to fit it up there? Thanks. Speed.

What condition is the dash in now? Has someone cut the rectangle hole for a DIN style radio, or is it still set up for the post style radio?

The dash hasn't been butched up. I'm not able to fit the radio from under the dash into the stock location. Wondering if there is a trick to getting it up under the dash or if some things have to be disassembled and moved out of the way. Thanks.

Ahh, OK.
You may find that the heater control cables and such are in the way. (They were on my '69)
I had to remove the dash trim panel, remove the screws holding the heater control head, and push it out of the way in order to get my radio up in there. Once the radio is in place, everything will go back together nicely.

Thanks for the input. Another set of hands holding all the cables and wires through the dash cut out while I had the radio against the firewall, was able to sneak it up into place.
