I received this from a friend and I wanted to share it with you all. It is by far the coolest thing I've seen. He wrote:
Sarah,

Are you redneck enough to recognise some of the farm equipment ?

I think the word "amazing" is overworked but this is totally deserving of the word. ~

Make sure your volume is up before you play this. It's amazing!!!!

This incredible machine was built as a collaborative effort between
the Robert M. Trammell Music Conservatory and the Sharon Wick School of Engineering at the University of Iowa . Amazingly, 97% of the machine's components came from John Deere Industries and Irrigation Equipment of Bancroft Iowa , yes farm equipment!

It took the team a combined 13,029 hours of set-up, alignment,
calibration, and tuning before filming this video but as you can see it
was WELL worth the effort.

It is now on display in the Matthew Gerhard Alumni Hall at the
University and is already slated to be donated to the Smithsonian.

Umm. That was all computer generated. Cool, no doubt, but once that huge circular Xylophone came up, dead give-a-way.

The way it was filmed makes it look almost created, but I spoke with my friend and he says its the real deal. In all actuality the xylophone is spinning not the balls. :D I think its pretty neat stuff. Can you just imagine how much time went into this? wow......

I'd love to see that for real, BTW I posted it on Trifive.

Another way to see it is in the first stage in the beginning, look at how the balls come out. They just appear on the top edge of the funnel. Still, its really cool.
