Recently I bought a 1970 Chevelle Malibu. The build sheet indicates that it had a 307 V8 and a powerglide transmission. It was changed to a 454 and another transmission was put in it before I bought it. The dealer didn't know much about the current transmission. It's a three speed automatic transmission. The flywheel didn't have a dust cover. I'm trying to buy a dust cover. According to my Chilton and Haynes books it looks like its a THM-350. So I bought the cover for that transmission, and it didn't fit. There's two numbers stamped on the transmission. The one on the pan is B6K120. The one on the case is 16D532657. Do these numbers mean anything? Can anyone help me to identify this transmission. Thanks.

Can you post a pic of the trans? The numbers don't mean anything to me, but pics might help identify it.

Old thread, but some info anyways...

The THM250C looks just like the THM350C, but will have a stud with an adjusting nut on the upper right side of the transmission case for the band in the area of the cooler line fittings on the passenger side of the tranny. The THM350C does not.
