Hey yall,

73Chero here, all the way from Florida and Ranchero.us. Just thought I'd sign up and see what's going on. Here's a pic of my truck:

I'll post more in the pics section (if there is one?) when I get a chance.

It's a 1973 Ford Ranchero 500 Explorer. 351C-C 2V/FMX. Pretty much a stock car, but preserved, car. Only a few minor changes from stock in the steering wheel, valve covers and wheels.

Glad to be here.:) :) :)

I don't even know what sublime elegance means. Is that when a car looks really good in Sublime green?

Sublime ... meaning the best
Elegance.... meaning the most beautiful....

Didn't your teacher in English show you this book called a "Dictionary?"

To me Ranchero's are Sublime Elegance...you can get the best out of both worlds, they ride like a car...be it stock or a muscle car and you can also carry a load if they are built right. I love my truck and you will find Duster, I'm not the only one :D :D

I was going through pictures the other day and I think I found a sublime green Duster I'll have to check back and I will post it for you in the Dodge section. :D

You're in the same boat as me. Assuming you weren't just kidding. Rancheros are hard to come by unless you're in California. You can either find a dead pile of rust or a restored showpiece. It's hard to find the stock, used daily driver kinds. So I was happy to drive all the way to Tulsa OK to buy my 74.

And it still has the Oklahoma plate.

man owning a rampage would send me on a tangent :D :D

I was filling RED this morning and this lady was walking around it talking to her guy on the phone she said my guy has one of these...I said really what year...She asked him???"Honey what year is your El Camino???" he replied 69...I looked at her and said baby girl this is not an El Camino it's a Ranchero...she told him its a Ranchero he must have yelled because her phone was pulled away from her ear really fast....and then she told him Babe this one is really nice tho....she pulled it away again really fast.... I was laughing so hard inside. I can only imagine what he was saying to her LOL :D
