I love the obscure and/or unloved cars of the '70s and '80s, and the Buick Apollo certainly qualifies. Few people remember it. Here is a nice example for sale on ebay. There cannot be many of these left.

I thought those things were butt ugly when they came out but I don't mind them now.You don't see one hardly ever.

There is one sitting out near where I go to school. It's not in bad shape, but it's not for sale. I'm pretty sure it's newer than that one.

Seeing an Apollo is a rare sight.............a nice one is even rarer. I saw a nice one last summer..........that was the first one I have seen in 20 years it seems.
I can't even remember the last time I saw an Omega.

I always thought the Pontiac had the best version of that body. But they were all pretty much of a let down when we were used to seeing the 72 back styles...

Those stupid federal 5 MPH bumpers ruined everything.

I know that I am in the distinct minority on this, but I don't mind the 5 mph bumpers on most cars. They make the cars look more substantial.

Ilike them too, look more "tankish"

I did not like the looks of the extended bumper until I was hit in the rear one time, the right side of the bumper was pushed in, I got 1200 from insurance, after the insurance man left I backed up to a telephone pole on the other side of the bumper and the pushed in side came back out to the correct position.
Happy ending
