Here's a good program for simulated engine dyno power curves.

It's similar to Desktop Dyno, but more detailed.

Be sure to look in the Hi Performance Street, Tracks & Racing area where I have posted the companion software to this... Drag Analyzer. The compannion software allows you to specify a vehicle and allows you to import the engine power curves from Engine Analyzer into the vehicle. You can then make a simulated 1/4 mile run and check the performance of your combo.

Download Engine Analyzer from ChevyLegends.com - 2.7mb (http://www.chevylegends.com/EngineAnalyzer.zip)

About how accurate is this? I put in some combos and they seemed pretty darn close...

The software can be pretty accurate, it depends on how detailed and accurate the input is.

I am currently building a 351 Cleveland and needed a cam. The off the shelf stuff didn't suit what I wanted, 72 Ranchero 4spd 351Q, heavy and wanted torque and top end. So I dug up a program I had and helped me find my numbers.

Sorry.. I didn't see your post here... :(

It should be very simple. Click on the link, a download screen appears asking you if you want to Open or Save this file.

If you are not seeing this window come up, you have something blocking it, possibly windows security or a popup blocker.

Thanks for the info CJ!

Did you get it to download?
I'm running WinXP with IE7 with high security settings. Had no problem with the download. What I did: right click download link and select "open in new tab", download window opened and I selected "save". Save the file anywhere you want to. I saved it to "My Documents". When download completes, right click on the file and select "Extract All" and follow the instructions from there. I extracted them to "My Documents" also. After the files have extracted, navigate to the Folder "DragAnalyzer" or "EngineAnalyzer" whichever it is that you are installing, then open it and find the "Setup.EXE" file and run it. Follow the instructions from there. :)
