The closest I came to owning a mercury was a buick that we nicknamed the Merc because my sister in law thought it WAS a mercury!

I'm gonna buy me a mercury and cruise it up and down the road.

and I had a 51 pickup, but I traded it for a couple dusters...man that was a sweet truck

And you still have the '75 Cougar.............cool. I wish I could have kept my first car...............even though it was an '83 Bonneville wagon.

Even as a kid, I heard way too may people say, "Boy, I wish that I still had my first car . . . ." I therefore swore that I would never get rid of mine, even if it meant living out of it. Fortunately, it never came to that, and it still sits in a special place in my garage today.

Hi, i have a 69 cougar convertible. My friend also has a 69 cougar with a big block in it. But he has some strange trims along the bottom sides of the car. Mine are one piece. Hes are two piece, stopping at the fender then they have what look like dummy air intakes in them Any ideas???? They look original...

'69 Cougar, one of my favorites, passed up a XR7 years ago in a salvage yard, no drivetrain and needed a driver rear quarter, leather seats and factory hoodscoop, all for $150. Went back a year later or so and the yard had been closed and cleaned out:(
